Speedo needed

Anyone got a speedo for a 250 or recommend a repairer with a good track record? Just dragged mine out from a pile of bits and I’ve got a broken face, mileage arm missing and it’s in kph, so it wants a full make over.

A long shot but when looking for 250 kat spares I start with Two Wheel Spares (DK Motorcycles) then follow up with the Japanese company Webike, original clocks for any Katana are nearly impossible to find at the moment but you might be able to find a glass cutter to make a new screen and some people on here (Fossie) have made dial needles from plastic coffee stirrers

The 250 clocks are gonna be rare now.
Could you get your clocks apart and take the glass to a glass cutter chappie..
These are the needles

The rim that holds the glass on is easily peeled back and can be moulded back using a side of a pencil .
As for KM/h clocks , changing them to Mp/h wont be so easy unless you can find someone who can digitise the differences and print them ... The difference in diameter in front wheel means any copy of the 1100 ones aren't anywhere close enough .
Simply just adding a face dosen't work either as the gearing in the clock is different for km/h and mp/h .

Needles: Try Scooterspitandquads on WeEvil Bay they list some that are a good match.
Speedo Repairs: There’s a bloke advertises in the bike comics, can’t remember his name. Don’t bother because as soon as you mention Katana he laughs at you! Something to do with the electronic tacho….
Easy Auction Japan or Webike sometimes list glass and rim repair kits for the Kat Clocks. But duty, VAT and handling charges will need to be paid to a bloke wearing a Tricorn hat, a face mask and brandishing a pair of flintlock pistols!
Don’t forget to post up a thread on here if you get to do the repair!

What a fantastic response!! With the info you’ve just given I could possibly restore. The needles is one of my worries as they obviously are sprung. If I take them off (referring to the main speedo) then I’ll loose an accurate calibration as there’s no safe way to holding the spindle in a safe position.
As for the glass, that’s in good condition and the base face needs bonding back in to make structurally sound

Looking at your photo of the clocks maybe you could just graft (glue) a plastic coffee stirrer onto the speedo needle and then paint both needles with reflective orange paint, would save a lot of hassle. and when it's stationary the speedo needle will cover up the hole in the speedo face, sorted!

Kinda like that comical bodge idea.
I’ve had some cheap needles delivered although I cocked up and DIDNT quote that I needed orange ones so ended up with white which isn’t a problem. I can probably blend in a smart repair over that hole but I really don’t want km’s so out of all the problems on a scale of 1-10, it’s the km’s that hit the top.
