250 igniter

Hi, more problems with my 250, fault traced to the igniter, I have replaced the igniter with the one off my 400 and engine runs but will this cause problems? Is there difference with rev limiter? The 400 one came from aliexpress will have to search for a 250 one.

That's the same brand one I have on my 400, which works fine. The 400 Igniter does have a 10,500rpm limiter. I don't know if the igniter controls the ignition advance though. You would imagine that there would be differences between the 250 and 400.

Hi, I have the same make on my 400 as well, but have not been on the road since fitting. Ordered the 250 one and cross fingers it will cure my problems.

Using a 400 one on a 250 and visa versa won't cause any problems other than if you use the 250 on a 400!the redline is well past the rocker cover

The other way round just means top gear is pretty void
