Hi, think my Cdi might be faulty on my 400, anyone know an equivalent one from another model or where to get one please.

I think Suzuki must have entered a die by date of 2022 in the CDI - that's the 3rd we've had on here in as many months and talking to Dean (see SmallKat thread) about how his starting failing, I think mine is quite possibly on the way out as well. I did test Dean's on my 400 to make sure it was dead.

As he doesn't want the dead CDI, I'm going to take to apart and see if I can replace the electrolytic capacitors and the possibly the 2 transistors (there's similar guides for the GSF400 Bandit of that era) and fix it, just out of curiosity. Biggest issue is taking it apart!

You can get Repro CDI's Google "GK77 CDI"
https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32959272619.html

That does have mount bits each side that it shouldn't, probably generic box, If you look at some of the other similar models they doesn't have those. I think Dean is getting one of those.

Hi, looks like you could have a business opportunity here if you can repair the Cdi :) . Having mine checked out on Tuesday, fingers crossed. Could be Aliexpress next stop.
Thanks for the link, I could only find gk76 ones.

Just ordered my igniter. £97.36 which it said included VAT, so hopefully no surprise import charge. However, HMRC mostly let things under £100 go through without extra charge anyway.

Just noticed that if you go on UB's link, then it's only £84.93. I bought mine direct from the manufacturer (via Aliexpress) which I thought would be the cheapest. So double-check before you buy!
