I replaced my GT250 X7 battery with a lithium. The old gel battery was goosed after only 2 years. The lithium is a bit smaller and they provide foam pads to pack out the space. The X7 doesn't need power to start, but the indicators were a bit shit at standstill with the bad battery. And I'm hoping I won't have to replace this one as often.

I've also got a lithium on backorder for Smallkat. This one has overcharge protection.

For some reason I'm not authorised to look at that link. I am up to date with subs, aren't I?

It's a Skyrich HJP9-FP, I haven't fitted it yet. Weirdly, the battery itself does not say anything about overcharge protection, but the sales blurb did. I'd sell you one at trade price Rob, but I can't send batteries in the post. Trade is only about £10 cheaper than ebay anyway.

The X7 lithium completely discharged itself, so I have to investigate why at some point. Charging voltage coming out of the generator is ~14.5V, so all superficially looks okay.

I'm trying to get my VFR sorted out, which is taking up a lot of time. I spent days trying to fit the exhaust, I got it done, then realised I had done it wrong and have to start again. They are great bikes, but you need to bloody dismantle the whole thing to do any job on it!

Can you just manually click through using the menu above?

Board Index > Katana Technical > How to Guides > Converting to LED indicators...

Does that work?
The link works for me whether logged in or not so not sure why you (and SmallKat) had issues. Maybe it's you being logged in so you could try logging out and then using the link (after copying it while logged in of course!).

I've had a look at the permissions can you see now (you might have to logout and then in again to the forum)?
