Re: 400 workshop manual
After a wiring diagram and engine manual the rest is good to have but not that important

Re: 400 workshop manual
As Fossie says it's in Japanese, though the numbers are numbers so things like valve clearances are OK. I have used the GSF400 wiring diagram in conjunction with the 400SSN wiring diagram as similar and you can then work out what the English bits are on it.
Are you going with keeping the 400 engine now then? I also have a GSX600F manual if you were going to use that engine.
I have put the Parts List, Wiring (GSF and GSX), Chapter 10 (Servicing) and GSX600F PDFs (all searchable) here - https://1drv.ms/f/s!AgLE2FZvfNU3hMcw2t3bLb153Ga4Ew
I need to make the Full Service manual still, so will try to do that after Christmas.
Have a good one,
UB

Re: 400 workshop manual
Good lad Bob they should come in handy. The plan is still to drop a bigger engine in but would like to get the current lump running. its been sat for a long time so needs a bit of tlc, got it running on 2 cylinders 3 & 4 so just 1 & 2 to go

Re: 400 workshop manual
Oh yes Definatley carb related,
400 that has been left with unleaded fuel sitting in the float chambers busy turning to varnish, clogging up the minute jet ways espically in the choke chamber , I'm sure that has been mentioned before

Re: 400 workshop manual
Well after dropping the carbs in the ultrasonic, new plugs, checking all wires, a bit of petrol and a couple of charged batteries, and a squirt of brake cleaner just for good luck! We have life in all 4 cylinders. Sounds pretty good no odd noises and revs freely.
Now I can pull it out and find a 750 oil cooled engine lump
