I think he sold for the £4.5 to £5k mark in the end fairly quickly. Also another turned up about the same price and sold fairly quickly as well, so if done well you should get a good price.

The other restored one, that came up for £5k (this one viewtopic.php?f=40&t=7999) sold for the full £5k in 2 days - to a dealer to be used as a showroom bike - but mine didn't - it went into winter storage and is still there, due to the lockdown. Once I can get to it and clean it back up, it'll go up for around £3.5 to £4k. The £5k one was definitely nicer - they just finished the resto, whereas mine was done a couple of years ago, now, and the gold powder coat on mine is a bit lairy for some people's taste!
