hey gang, i'm picking up a 650 Kat and its dark blue, my VERY limited knowledge of 650 Kats is that they all came in sliver with orange deataing on the seat, calipers, rear shocks
does anyone know if suzuki imported (to the uk, europe of american markets) dark blue 650 katanas
it looks pretty standard to me or someone has done a banging job of the paint
looking frward to hearing your thoughts

The 650 and 550 were only in 13L (silver) with orange black seat, orange brakes in UK , although the last 550 came in red with black seats.
The USA and a few European countries got a later red silver tank .
NO 650 or 550 were blue , obviously this machine has been resprayed .....but hey 35 years on which machines haven't.?

They were only on the last model , not imported in to UK, except for a few grey imports.
The bikini fairing ala Z thou like is very close. One was on eBay about 2 years ago but without fitting kit.

Thought they were on the Canada model only? Maybe not. There was someone doing copies of the fairing on eBay maybe 18 months ago but without fittings or a screen.

I had a US (Californian) import back in about 1993 which had one on, if you are talking about the Suzuki fitted one. Can't say I was a fan of the look of that so took it off and threw it away! At the time I thought it was an aftermarket item, but only when reading some posts here years later realised it was fitted from new. Here's a bad picture of it. Wish I had of kept that bike. When I got it it was like new with only 1800m on the clock in 10 years.

Nicest looking version of the 650 in my opinion. Bet you wish you had a few sets of those wheels to sell rob...

Yep really rare last model 650 with SD wheels , black engine and 2 tone tank. North American market.
Some found their way over in the 90's in the grey import explosion.
