Will the 550 kat tank, side panels, seat fit the 650 frame ?

Tank and panels yes. Seat depends on which market the frame was aimed at. Someone with brains will be along shortly.

The 650 tank will, the panels won't unless you relocate the lugs. The 550 seat won't fit 90% of 650's in uk .it will fit a jap market 650 frame. ...... But basically generally NO.

The resin I ask, is after the miss accident (who I'm building the bike for) she is finding the standard gs550 bodywork more coufey. So I was thinking of doing that for her, look out for a 650 frame use the 550 kat bodywork put latter running gear in it and at least a 750 oilcooled motor, but more like a gsxr1100/b12, that will be fun.

why not fit 400/250 kat bodywork to a 550 and do it properly unlike all the other onse that get done using 1100 panels. i reccon the 550/650 with a 400 fairing would look a treat.
