is this right?

I was looking for a swing arm for a Bandit 1200 for my bike, I think this one is right
Question, also is there anything else I can use from this? I figure I can part out the rest of the bike, I think the pipe is a hack though.

You can use nearly everything of it. Well, at least I do on one of my Kats. Few mods required, though.
Swinger: bushes to widen the pivot to Kat specs plus diameter to take the Kat axle. Either monoshock with custom made fixing points or weld mounting braces to the swinger to have it dual shock.
Forks: shortening of the steering stem or take GSXR triples, some of the older ones have the same stanchion diameter as Bandit and the stem is a straight fit.
Enine: yes. Use of entire Bandit electrics recommended, as well as carbs with high flow pods.
I suppose the exhaust system will also fit aircooled engine. Most oilcooled aftermarket products do. I run a dutch BOS system on an aircooled engine with just an additional set of head gaskets. Bit of tinkering on baffle position, obviously. Akrapovic headers fit without hassle.

Pedda, thanks a ton, do I have to get new engine mounts welded on for the Bandit Motor?

I bought the Bandit, it was bit rough, but complete. I got it for 850 dollars.
Strangely it was guy about 30 from France.

He sells the parts kit to put a bandit swing arm in a katana frame
Also the tech pages are some of the best I have seen
He definitely knows what he's talking about and thats witnessed in his builds .

Yeah Rob's site will do that to you ,He is a good chap .
As far as swing arms go you might want to check out Metmachex
there in the UK great quality there deep braced arms are something else and they will do custom work for instance a bandit arm with shock mounts and bushings for the Katana.They have been around since the 70's and have dimensions for most bikes.
Now if you want to go all out then a Spondon replica is the way to go ,first Google Spondon suzuki Katana (get ready to drool) there are tube and box section swing arms I have and old picture of the box section one on a katana
Sadly Spondon is no more RIP sweary Bob ,but Gavin at GIA Engineering was a Spondon fabricator for 20 years and can make exact copies they're not going to be cheap but pretty darn exclusive .There was a rumor that with enough interest he would build a run of the frames again ....Maybe my retirement gift to myself.

Thanks, Ill do that. I remember the Spondon builds in 90s US magazines. I think there were a few others like Bannili and Moto Mortini, I'm sure I killed the name.
