It’s not in the ULEZ until the end of the month & my bike meets the emission standards for the LEZ zone, so looks like last chance for the old Kats.

think it has to be classed as "historic vehicle" with relevant DVLA paperwork,
so getting there for most (but not all just yet)

Historic vehicles are exempt - so that means the bikes over 40 years old that get the £0 tax and are MOT are exempt . So the early Kats will be OK now and gradually the others will be added in. Proper UK pop-ups will take a few years more years and you won't see a 400 or 250 there for another decade!
See the Historic vehicles section on this page:
https://tfl.gov.uk/modes/driving/ultra- ... his-page-6
If I ever get the X7 on the road tempted to take that along to a 2-stroke day ( or Suzuki ) just to annoy!

I have checked and my Kat and the Speed Trip will cost me £12.50 a day to go into ULEZland. They don’t qualify for any form of Crit Air sticker either
We have a 12 plate Micra and a 13 plate C1 that are exempt the charge
But I not able to get down to the Ace this weekend

petrol cars from (approx) 2005
diesel cars from 2015 (is)
bikes from 2017/2018
a lot of earleir bikes are complient, but it is down to you to have them certified (at high cost)
if you live there/need it the £12.50 add up to an investment, if not just don't do it

If your Kat is X reg or before , a trip to the post office to get historic on the V5 will exempt it from ULEZ , Y reg next year etc...
So basically the more tax you pay for your vehicle , which is now a pollution tax , the more you have to pay for the new pollution tax , but just make sure Mr Khan gets all your income add the congestion charge ....of course next year once everyone is used to all these charges they will going in line with inflation for administrative costs ..
So someone with a 5 ltr Merc pays the same as 1990 moped as they obviously they omit the same levels of pollution to the lungs of the people of London.
My new Taliban bus is chargeable ...but the exact same one isn't why ..because DVLA issued V5 with co2 readings on some when they were registered ...it really is a farce ..
Inside the M25 is a no go zone!

If your vehicle is registered as historic, you have to pay TFL an annual fee to be able to waive the charge, I think it's around 12.50/15.
So you have to pay, not to pay.
That tells you all you need to know about what this charge is really about.
