Nice writeup; we really need to get going on those shirts. Just give me carte-blanche :D
It's faster to break than to repair.

I did forget to say, without much going on the last year it was hard to get the inspiration as well, but with a few more events (including Fossie making the effort to do the Manchester show) it does bring back the enthusiasm :-)
I had thought of a (possible) EK venue this way, if you had got stuck, but that looks resolved, though I would have liked it in Holland, just cause I like riding abroad and feel cheated out of a Euro trip this year.
If there is a Classic Suzuki day at Cadwell next year I'd probably do that again as well.

Just a comment on merchandise.
I’ve taken over responsibility for merchandise in my local bike club here. After a lot of research, I found it more cost effective to buy a heat press machine and get the transfers made.
I inherited 5 big boxes of t-shirts, sweatshirts and hoodies, most of which will never sell due to the non popular sizes that are left.
I can now buy shirts on demand and print them up as required.
This also allows for more variety, eg ladies cut t-shirts or let people supply their own item for printing.

Some figures…
The last order the club made, before I was involved, was just over 900€
All items ordered were black… not ideal for a Spanish summer. I’ve sold more self produced white shirts since taking over.
I estimate I’ll have half of those black ones left in a year.
Heat press machine from Amazon - 160€
Printed heat transfers - less than 2€ per shirt. Small front and large back print.
Cost of t-shirt - 2-5€ depending on source
Sweatshirts/hoodies - 10-15€
For the small quantities it makes more sense to source items from large retailers or supermarkets. They always have plain items.
Primark are cheap, but for slightly better quality I’ll go to Carrefour or AlCampo (equivalent of Tesco or Asda in UK) and pay 5€ for a t-shirt.

Print quality is the same as screen printed shirts. The heat transfer sheets we have were screen printed and this was how the printer made the last batch.

You can see here the more popular white version -

AGM done and dusted, committee of 10+1. With Manchester, Bristol , Southampton, London &Preston represented .
Firstly a cracking night before ....moretallica followed by rock ( and cheese ) disco 'till 0100hrs 8-)

In the absence of the chairman we convened using the listed template though not in the exact order. ;)

First to be discussed the EuroKat ...venue released as .......Whitby Rugby club.August 19-22 2022. T shirt & sticker design ..Belinda & Sparki ...trophies Jmac. Venue representative GeeKay.
Overseer Fossie& Smand. Funding of event , using the club funds we have with an extra £5 to the club membership this year bringing it back to £10 for this year only to ensure we don't have a short fall. Ticket prices to be set and announced later but with a view to as low as possible.
Outline ..band on Friday and Saturday if possible , continental breakakfast sat and sun morning with English breakfast on order .

As above membership from April £10 ( 1 year only) Accounts sec.. katmarch volunteered .

Manc'ee Kat will be at the NABD rally in May 6-8 2022.. As previous years We will find an enclave for ourselves BBQ and breakfast as normal . I will collect the names and purchase the tickets in bulk.
Then on the day I will come to the gate with the ticket and direct to our set up.

Regalia ..Johnr still has it all, . He will catalogue what we have and reorder hoodies , beanies as required. A new design of t shirt is needed ... Samk suggestion of self printing will be looked into , meanwhile Lexba will be commissioned to come up with a design using our parameters. I will send pm in next few days . ;)

New Katana riders as club members . Flyers to be designed by Belinda( well her yet uninformed relative ;) )Then distributed at the Manchester show, Shepton Mallet, or as seen around.

Manchester show ..Fatnick will bring up Kekats ..Kats . Jmac and Fossie a selection ..We need a volunteer to transport 1 or 2 from Fossies house to event city ...4 miles .volunteers to man stand required ...free entry etc. ;)

The Pride and paper copies of it . We thought we could liaise with Lexba on this aswell ...katmarch can get hard copies printed and posted when the edition is complete ....we need content ...tracks of my years ..my biking history...how to....take his tools away.....etc for now send then via pm to myself until a Channel is set up .

FB pages ..it has be set up by Uncle bob and could be a gateway to newer members and different viewpoint ...our concern is that with our EK being here in the UK if the info is shared indescrimitly & we could have in unintended visitors ;) . UB to remain as advocate .

Membership..I ( Fossie) will take it over , but we need someone ( sparki) takeover with UB Allowing access / spam spotting etc.

Chairman ...UB expressed a thought that the new chairman should be the one who called the AGM ...katmarch because it was the only weekend that Fatnick could do! ;)
So who should we dick for it? .....so until such time as these 2 decide I will take over again ....should UB not wish to carry on ;)

A trophy will be sorted to be awarded annually in memory of FBJ .

The picture hosting size has been used to aid posting pictures. I believe it has worked .
