Re: Clutch cover - little black seal for the actuating rod
It's ok - I worked it out and was clearly overthinking things. To anyone else who might want to know how to do this, simply flip the clutch cover upside down and head to your vice or suitable support arrangement. Protect whatever finish you have with some thick rags either side of the splined rod, l...

Clutch cover - little black seal for the actuating rod
Hello all, I've got myself in a spot of bother! - I spent absolutely ages stripping, polishing and applying 2k clear to all my engine covers. The clutch cover was by far the worst looking like it had been half submerged in the sea. Being thorough, I thought I'd remove that little black seal where th...

Ah right - thx for that. Not fitted to mine- it has the ubiquitous white mph overlay stuck on the glass.
I've seen a speed limit cancel box on eBay from unicorn as I recall. Pretty sure that's what it is then.

Re: What is little black box by battery on my GSX 1100SR?
Thanks all - I have a jap parts manual so I'll see if it has a wiring diagram. The pink wires themselves appear standard only the box looks aftermarket. I don't ride it like an arse but having attempted to rev it out at least once it will go " off the clock" which stops at 120 albeit that performanc...

What is little black box by battery on my GSX 1100SR?
Hello all, After about 5 years I'm just replacing the battery (normally well served by the Optimate but now lazy). Apart from the usual dramas of finding a non standard battery of wrong size rammed into a bent cradle with juxtaposed wiring, I've also come across a little black box about the size of ...

Re: Bar end for 1100sr
Solved the prob. As kryten said the bars are tapped for an m6 bolt. But what's interesting is the part number from the Japanese sr manual resolved to the same bar end for an fj. I bought one and I looked at stock pics of the sr new and it looks correct. It's very long at about 50mm. I had to buy ano...

Bar end for 1100sr
Hi all, When I got back from the annual mot I had a tingly left wrist and a missing bar end! Does anyone know if the later 1100SR bar ends are the same as older kats and or best place to get a new one? I guess they are weighted and that's lost too. It looks like a simple job but before I try and rem...
