Keep reading things about the charging system on the Kats, I know one of the wires goes through the headlamp switch from the generator to the reg/rec so it's best to run with the lights on to stop the coil overheating, but I've also heard you can just bypass this by connecting the two wires together...

Sorted, ended up with a GPZ900 A8 one, span adjustable and mirror mount included, and a sensible brake light switch that works
