Looking at your photo of the clocks maybe you could just graft (glue) a plastic coffee stirrer onto the speedo needle and then paint both needles with reflective orange paint, would save a lot of hassle. and when it's stationary the speedo needle will cover up the hole in the speedo face, sorted! :...

It’s nice when a pleasant thought turns into reality! After also owning mine (250) for ten yrs and partly recommissioned ( that is without even buying a single item for the carbs) for the first time, it started, purred and made me feel happily excited too! Yes the phrase ‘waking up’ really describes...

Well, my 250 Kat only cost approximately one and half times the price of that seat when I got it ten yrs ago!! With that came a frame, engine, wheels and I can go on!!

What a fantastic response!! With the info you’ve just given I could possibly restore. The needles is one of my worries as they obviously are sprung. If I take them off (referring to the main speedo) then I’ll loose an accurate calibration as there’s no safe way to holding the spindle in a safe posit...

Anyone got a speedo for a 250 or recommend a repairer with a good track record? Just dragged mine out from a pile of bits and I’ve got a broken face, mileage arm missing and it’s in kph, so it wants a full make over.
