Re: New Kat
FBJ is it an easy fit ? Originally I said I liked the standard back end of the bike, but that does look good. Think the black looks stunning, so there are two of us now.

Re: Clip-ons
I've actually fitted 20mm SW Motech bar risers on mine, they were for the Suzuki GSX S1000F and are a perfect fit. Sadly my days of riding bikes with clip ons and rear sets are long gone. My last GSX1100SD had a top yoke conversion fitted.

Re: Am I the first ?
Just read the Pride 52 and I concur with your comments on the new bike Fossie, the noise it makes when accelerating is fantastic, mine has the Akra fitted so it has an even better sound track than standard.

Re: Cheapest New(ish) Kat?
M&S Motorcycles of Newcastle have got a brand new pre-registered bike at £9695. They were trying to sell it to me, I know Ian Myers who is the M, the S died a few years ago. http://mandsmotorcycles.co.uk/product/s ... tana-1000/

Re: New old kid on the block
I've never heard of that one although Lanchester is about 20 miles away. I've had a bit of a look and there is a place called The Garage Bar and Grille which is in Burnhope, very close to Lanchester. They appear to do bike nights so might be worth a visit for me at some point.

Re: Am I the first ?
The Samurai pack and the Akrapovic were fitted to the bike when I bought it slightly secondhand with 500 miles on the clock. The original owner who has over 30 bikes including RC30's and 45's couldn't resist a Kawasaki H2. To be honest I have just refitted the original front mudguard, I prefer the s...

Re: New old kid on the block
Thanks for the warm welcome back, I do recognise all the names. I'm glad the new Kat is accepted. The thing I always liked about the Katana Owners was that all bikes were welcome, pristine Kats, well used Kats, rat Kats, modded Kats and Kats that didn't look even look like Kats (resin corsa) and the...
