My 1st Katana after many years of wanting one!
It was a good price, from a Japanese guy (no, realy) in Washington (Tyne & Weir, not DC). US spec, and un-modified!

Was sold to make way for a Hinkley Triumph Trident as it just wasn't quick enough at the time. Went to a bloke in Baumber, Lincolnshire who said he was going to restore it as a feature for Classic and Motorcycle Mechanics. Good job I didn't hold my breath

Yes, would have been a good start for a resto, but at the time I was looking for something with a bitr more "Go". the last straw was being unable to out run a SuperMoto. This was a few years ago now and joins the list of bikes I shouldn't have sold!

Along the coast road near me it was quicker than my brother's T595, mainly due to the compliant suspension not bouncing me out of the saddle. Unlike the Triumph

Lol. Lack of Oomph was the main reason I got rid of mine. It was rubbish two up and my intention when buying it was a bike to get us to Holland and back. I was going to college one day and in a head wind I was struggling to hold 70mph so the decision was made to sell it. That and a class mate on his GPZ500 leaving me for dust

Can always do the 650 top end swap to beef it up a bit
